I’ve seen this post on my dash a couple times and I just need to RANT. First off, don’t act like this list is such a big fuckin deal, compare it to the list of white leading ladies and tell me this list is good enough. Then think about the characters that are actually given attention (in terms of marketing, merch n face characters and stuff.) the list dwindles down to four or five (and thats being generous.) Thats just insulting. 

I adore these ladies. And it infuriates me that they’re largely ignored by the fandom and are now being used to make stupid arguments like this one. WTF. When some fans ask for equal representation, you don’t respond with “look, we already have these WOC. Take them and be satisfied."

Also, the whole world isn’t divided into “white" and “not white".

You have double digit white leading ladies.

You have one Chinese character.

You have two Hawai’ian characters.

You have one indigenous character.

You have one black character.

You have one Latina.

You have one rroma character.

Kida is of a fictional race and Jasmine is a homogenization of several different ethnicities.

So, no, the idea of “1 and done" does not fly here. 

Plus Jasmine, Chicha and Esmerelda had white voice actresses so that’s not exactly progressive on the casting front.
