Hi, I’m one of those blonde white girls living in Scandinavia and I’d like to remind everyone that POCs have and still exists here in our “snow covered” countries. 

There’s the Sami, the indigenous people whose settlements can be traced back as far as 5000 years ago in Scandinavia and Russia, some think even longer back. While today’s sami mainly have fair skin, they share genes with Inuit people and have distinct features, such as their cheeks and nose.

It’s also worth noting that Sami people are also grossly discriminated against in todays society. 

And there’s this post about POC in Europe during Medieval ages.

I think there’s more posts on POC in Europe over the ages, but this is the one I had bookmarked from a while back during a discussion on POC in relation to HTTYD. 

Aside from everything, the fact is that POC actually have existed in Scandinavia/Europe for many years.

I’d also like to remind people that Disney has the power to make their characters POC no matter the settings of their movie, because they’re making AN ANIMATED FICTIONAL FEATURE and not a documentary basing itself in real life.
